Brief Technical Profile:
Wai-yip Tam received the BSc degree in electronic engineering from City Polytechnic of Hong Kong in 1988, and the MPhil and PhD degrees in electronic engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, in 1990 and 1994, respectively.

In 1990, he joined the Department of Electronic Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, as an assistant lecturer and he is currently an assistant professor. His main interests are in the fields of  miniaturization of antennas, alternating-direction implicit FDTD, acoustic devices.
