Overview of Departmental Health, Safety and Environment

You should notice the following health and safety issues when you work in the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, especially for final-year project students:

  • All the heavy machines are placed in CD002, and these machines should be operated by our technician, Mr S.C. Yip.

• Projects involving high power
  • A protective cabinet will be designed and placed in EF501, in the middle of the last work bench. If your project involves circuit design that will be powered with high voltage, you are strongly encouraged to use this cabinet when you connect your circuit to the power.
