IntroductionThis homepage contains the PSPICE schematic files of the circuits corresponding to the end-of-chapter problems and examples, as far as applicable. Students should try to construct their own schematic files before viewing the files in this homepage. The basic procedure is explained in Chapter 1 of the book and also in some other chapters when relevent features of PSPICE are introduced. A brief note about this book is given at the end of this page. For instructors, a complete solutions manual may be obtained from your local Addison-Wesley representatives. (In Hong Kong, the contact is Ms. Cheran Leung, Addison Wesley Longman China Limited, 2/F Cornwall House, Taikoo Place, 979 King's Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong. Email: addwesley@awl.com.hk.) System RequirementsIn order to run PSPICE, you need a PC, preferably a 486 or Pentium, running on WINDOWS 3.1 or WINDOWS95. The version of the PSPICE programme that can run the files is V7.0 or higher. It should be noted that the schematic files are not the same as netlist files. The latter usually have extensions ".CIR" and are used by PSPICE directly to generate results. The schematic files must be opened by the "Schematics" module of the PSPICE package which creates the netlist files for simulation. The schematic files contain information of the circuit connections and component orientations. Upon opened by "Schematics", you actually see circuit diagrams rather than ASCII codes representing the connection and component types. PSPICE Student Evaluation Download or CDROMThe company that distributes PSPICE is OrCAD Corporation. A student evaluation version of the PSPICE package can be obtained free of charge from the MicroSim. All circuits provided in this homepage can be run by the student evaluation version. The address for downloading a student version of PSPICE is
