The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Department of Electronic and Information Engineering Study Tours
It has been 10 years since Hong Kong returned to China. There is a need for students in Hong Kong to be aware of the recent developments in Chinese Mainland in terms of technology, economy, business, livelihood and culture. Since 2005, the department has initiated a Chinese Mainland Awareness Programme for all undergraduate students. Study tours have been organized during Christmas, Easter, Summer breaks, and long weekends for students to visit academic institutions, hi-tech industry, manufacturing plants, businesses, etc. in the Mainland. This programme will be extended to cover other overseas countries in order to broaden students’ international exposure. Cities covered in previous study tours include: - Beijing - Chengdu - Guangzhou - Hunan - Macau - Nanjing - Shanghai - Shenzhen - Tokyo, Japan - Xi’an - Xiamen - Yunnan - Zhuhai Inquiry of forthcoming study tours: Dr C.K.
